Read on to learn more about her story:

What is your current role?
Emergency Nurse

How many years of experience do you have?
Qualified 2003 in my 19th year Nursing.

What’s an interesting fact about you?
I bake amazing birthday cakes and played rugby union for 15 years.

Where are you currently located?
NT, my 3rd placement here.

How long is your contract for?
This time 8weeks, I’ve had a mix of 6week and 8week contracts.

Why did you choose this location?
They were advertising on SEEK and I wanted to get out of Sydney lockdowns!!!

What have been the highlight of your contract?
The patients and the team, it’s a different world and it is so nice to just be able to do your job.

What do you want your fellow contractors to know about your location or job role?
TC is a small town but a busy hospital with a lot of resus and chronic medical backgrounds. It’s warm and dry, haven’t seen any snakes. Great lake to paddleboard on, and plenty of areas to go build a fire and marvel at the stars.

What essential items do you take with you when you leave home to work on a contract?
My cupcake tin, Chromecast, and music speaker. (We finally have an IGA, its called the town plaza 😉 )

How did you hear about SustainHealth?
Saw an advert and found the team so lovely to deal with.

How have you found the service from your consultant at SustainHealth?
Amazing!!! When I was doing hotel quarantine in Alice Springs before I started last year, the amazing Angel kept checking on me, have also had great assistance from Guido and Amanda. Always get lovely emails back when I send in certificates or qualifications as well.

Would you recommend Sustain Health to colleagues or friends?
I have and will continue to recommend Sustain, I was signed up with another agency before SustainHealth but have never used them as I just didn’t get the right fit/feel when talking to them.

Final Word: What is your top tip for other health professionals when choosing their next contract?
Embrace it, the experience will be different everywhere you go and they all add to your knowledge and skill base. Be prepared for sick patients so think about your skill set when picking somewhere to work. Enjoy it, we are so lucky to have these options.
