With structured internal training, access to industry development, and hands-on experience, our Queensland consultant took ownership of the portfolio—evolving from a new starter to a Principal Consultant trusted by public health services across the state.
Today, our Queensland Desk is responsible for managing complex, large-scale healthcare recruitment needs—including our preferred supplier partnership with Queensland Health. We’ve placed hundreds of healthcare professionals in remote, regional, and metropolitan areas, ensuring services are supported with quality staff who understand the demands of their roles.

After attending the CRANAplus Conference in 2023, our consultant was inspired to further explore the realities of remote nursing. Their article on the topic, published in the 2024 edition of CRANAplus Magazine, reflects a deep understanding of the challenges faced by nurses working in isolated areas—and the importance of meaningful support from recruiters. This insight led to the hosting of a webinar that brought together experienced and aspiring remote nurses, opening up practical, honest conversations about life on the ground.
As a result of this commitment to understanding both client and candidate needs, our Queensland Desk continues to stand out. In Quarter 3 of the 2024–2025 financial year, it received the highest number of positive survey responses from across the entire SustainHealth business.
