A New Financial Year at SustainHealth: Expanding How We Support Australian Healthcare

The start of a new financial year gives us an opportunity to reflect on what we have learned, recognise the work of our team and look ahead to where SustainHealth Recruitment can make a greater contribution to Australia’s healthcare workforce.

Over the past year, we have continued supporting nurses, midwives, aged care professionals and healthcare organisations across metropolitan, regional, rural and remote Australia. We have also invested in our people, strengthened our internal systems and introduced new training and resources to improve the experience of working with SustainHealth.

As we begin the new financial year, we are building on that foundation while expanding into areas where we see a growing need for healthcare workforce support.

Expanding Into Mental Health and Allied Health

One of the developments we are particularly excited about is the continued growth of our Mental Health and Allied Health recruitment divisions.

Across healthcare, workforce needs extend well beyond nursing. Mental health and allied health professionals play an important role in supporting individuals, families and communities, and we see an opportunity to help healthcare organisations connect with professionals across these areas.

Our expansion means SustainHealth can support a broader range of healthcare professionals with their careers while helping clients address workforce needs across more areas of their services.

This is an important direction for our team in the new financial year, and we look forward to building relationships with professionals and organisations across these sectors.

Building on What We Learned

The past year has also been one of continued learning within SustainHealth.

Our team participated in professional development covering areas including cultural awareness, mental health, recruitment technology and candidate compliance. We have continued listening to candidates and clients and considering how we can make recruitment easier to navigate while maintaining the standards healthcare requires.

These initiatives are helping prepare our team for the next stage of SustainHealth’s growth.

Better Technology, Still Human at Heart

Technology will continue to influence healthcare recruitment, and we are investing in systems that can make communication, onboarding and recruitment processes more accessible for the people we work with.

However, better technology does not mean removing the human connection.

Candidates still want someone who understands their experience and career goals. Clients still need recruitment partners who take the time to understand their workforce and the communities they serve.

Our approach for the year ahead is to use technology where it can make the recruitment journey easier, while keeping personal relationships at the centre of our service.

Behind this is our continued focus on strong healthcare compliance. As we expand our services and introduce new systems, ensuring healthcare professionals are appropriately prepared for their placements remains fundamental to how we support both candidates and clients.

Looking Ahead to the New Financial Year

There is much more ahead for SustainHealth this year. From growing our Mental Health and Allied Health divisions to investing in our people, technology and healthcare recruitment services, our focus remains on responding to where the healthcare workforce needs support.

If you are a healthcare professional exploring your next opportunity, including roles across nursing, midwifery, aged care, mental health or allied health, we would love to hear from you.
